Employee ownership

We are developing an employee-owned business model, in which:

  • 20% of our time is spent working on community projects or honing our skill set.
  • Our team decides on the projects we work on - which clients, which community projects, which side projects.
  • Company control is a meritocracy where everyone has a path towards equity ownership.
  • Startups are always a bit riskier than a large company, and this startup requires active participation.
  • We're small. We each take on many roles and responsibilities. There's are no "that's not my job" situations.

Unlike many companies our goal is to eventually have a small team of highly talented individuals who view each other as equals. While high achievers are rewarded for their great work, all the profits are re-invested in the business to make a sustainable, fun place to work.
